Program DescriptionAll students will be enrolled for five (5) units of University Group Study Credit. Assignments for the program include research notebooks, a written article of journal quality describing the research project and its conclusions, presentation of the individual project at a research symposium and presentation of research to students at the home high school. All work in the program is graded and credit will be awarded after home presentations are completed. Cost for the six-week program the summer of 2008 is approximately $4500 which includes program costs, university credit, room, board, and all activities during the program. Funds are available to assist those students who might otherwise be unable to attend due to financial constraints. To request financial assistance, the student should submit, with their coversheet, (1) parent/guardian statement describing financial obligations and need for support and (2) a copy of the Federal tax report (Form 1040) for 2007. The amount of this additional award will be based on demonstrated need, the number of applicants who qualify and the availability of funds. Since funds are allocated at the time of application, financial requests will not be accepted following admission to the program. To receive a printed copy of program information, send a business size, self-addressed stamped envelope to J.
