Application Procedure
Students wishing to
apply to the UCD Young Scholars Program should review the Program Description prior to
completing their application. Students should APPLY
On-Line by clicking here. To download a Teacher Recomendation
forms
click on the links below. If you cannot complete the online
application, write to the address below or email the Director at jrpomeroy@ucdavis.edu.
When applying On-line, please follow the instructions for the on line
application submission and the required documentation.

A complete application package includes
the following:
- UCD-YSP
online application including the
signature sheet downloaded at the time of application.
- A copy of a graded writing
assignment from school work this year (sample will not be returned)
- High School transcript, including
any available scores from nationally standard tests
- Two sealed Teacher
Recommendation Forms, at least one of which should be from a science
teacher (these may be completed by the recommending teachers online if
your application provides the teachers' email addresses)
- Two self-addressed, stamped business
size( #10) envelopes with two stamps on each.
- One self-addressed stamped post card that will be mailed to you on receipt of your application packet.
- Optional For those students
requesting financial assistance, include a letter from the parents or
guardians
explaining the circumstances surrounding the request for assistance AND
a copy of the 2007 W-2 Federal Income Tax return
Items 2-6 should be mailed in one
envelope to the above address. When applying on-line, please include
the downloadable signature sheet. Please be sure to obtain your
teacher's signatures prior to the March 31st submission date. Many
schools are on spring break at this time and teachers are unavailable.
